■課題
ただ、医療機関の本格的なIT化は始まったばかりだ。医療・福祉分野での情報システムの国内市場規模は２０００年で三千億強とみられる。１９９５年の１．５倍以上に拡大したが、市場の大半を占めるのは院内の効率化を狙ったシステム。患者にもメリットがある電子カルテを導入している医療機関はまだ全体では１％～数％にとどまる。遠隔診断も一部の先進的な医療機関が実施しているだけだ。

The domestic market scale size for information systems in the medical and welfare field is estimated to have been over 300 billion yen in the year 2000.
